The culprit is this new Aim Response Curve Slope Scale setting that has been newly added with MWIII. I have been testing all morning and setting it to 0.80 makes it feel very similar to MWII aim. This has improved the experience so much for me, especially when using an SMG. The movement also feels much nicer.

So in actual fact, turning it down actually increases the responsiveness of the curve.
